We associate college with classes, grades and friends.  These spaces allow for us to gather, learn and explore; they live with us just like we live in them.  "Colleges of the North" explores the spaces of various colleges and universities in Western Massachusetts and Mid Coast Maine.  Of course these colleges and universities were designed on appearance and accessibility.  However, if you were asked about UMass Amherst being a piece of art, heads would turn. A t the same time heads would nod for Bowdoin College.  In the end, each campus has its unique qualities we do not take the time to look at.  Take your time.
